In some way this determined the pace of my grief cycle - grieving for the child I would never have and the mother I would never be. But just like the quote you closed with, I'm not sure I would trade what I have for 'normal'. Our life is hard, so hard. But we're still happy and we've grown so much. The grief is still there, but it's wrapped up in much more acceptance.
